Australia helps Afghanistan produce more food

Australia will fund a key project to help restore production of two of Afghanistan's most important food crops - wheat and maize.

Procedure for the registration of a Foreign based NGO with the Transitional Government of Afghanistan

  • The request for registration should be forwarded to the Afghan Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Kabul through the embassy of the home country of the NGO. If the home country does not have an embassy in Kabul the request should be made through the Afghan embassy in the home country of the NGO. The Afghan embassy will have to certify all the documents submitted with the request.
  • The person in charge of the NGO or their representative should personally fill in the registration forms at the Division of International Economic and financial Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul.
  • The registration forms will then be forwarded to the planning Ministry. After receipt of the US$1000 fee, the Planning Ministry will forward the request for registration to the High Assessment Commission for final approval.
  • On final approval the NGO will be issued with a certificate of registration.
