Canberra – The people and the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan express their deepest sympathy and offer their condolence on the death of the two Australian soldiers in Afghanistan on 16 March 2009 and 20 March 2009 respectively.
The death of brave soldiers from Australia and Afghanistan is painful for the people of both countries, but they have not died in vain. They died for fighting terrorism and extremism for the purpose of a peaceful world.
The Government of Afghanistan convey their sympathy and condolence to the families and the fallen soldiers once again, and assure them that the people of Afghanistan will not forget these brave soldiers. May they rest in peace and the bereft family overcome the tragic loss of their loved ones.
