The Cultural & Educational Centre

Seminars

CECA will organise conferences, seminars and workshops for the discussion of cultural and educational issues in Afghanistan. For example, a particular issue is the development of school and tertiary curricula, as the education system becomes re-established.

Also commemoration of great Afghan personalities will form part of the Centre's activities. It is intended that the Centre's seminar program will serve to encourage Australian knowledge of these issues in Afghanistan as well as add interest to healthy debates within Afghanistan.

Composition of the Centre The centre is directed by an Advisory Board of four Afghans and four Australians.

One Afghan member of the Board will be the cultural & educational Attache for the Embassy. Initially, the Centre will be supported financially and administratively through the Embassy.

It is intended that as the Centre grows it will become self-supporting. Contributions to the Centre are welcomed.
