COUNSELLOR

Mr. Khalil Rahman Timuri

 

Mr. Timuri was born in Herat Province of Afghanistan in 1952. After completing his secondary education in Heart, he attended Kabul University where he received a BA in Political Science.

 

Mr. Timuri joined government services in 1977, as an employee in the Ministry of Finance in Kabul. In 1978, Mr. Timuri completed military education in Army Officer Course for a period of 6 months, where he became a qualified army officer. In 1979 Mr. Timuri worked as a director of Financial Training and Education at the Ministry of Finance. Mr. Timuri left Afghanistan in 1992 and lived in London for 10 years where he participated in cultural and Political activities for the Afghan community. In 2002 he returned to Afghanistan and worked voluntarily with some of the high ranking officials for peace and stability.

 

In 2005, Mr. Timuri was assigned to Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he worked as Deputy Director of UN and International Conferences Department. Mr. Timuri was also in charge of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) affairs in Afghanistan, where he was appointed as President of Focal Points (NLO).

 

Mr. Timuri participated in numerous National and International conferences, meetings and diplomatic courses. In Apr2006 Mr. Timuri attended the national Legend Officer’s Conference for the IAEA which was held in Beijing China where he received eight different important Projects for Afghanistan. In June 2006 he led the delegation to Vienna and successfully finalized the above mentioned valuable projects for Afghanistan, which was supported and funded by IAEA.

   

In August 2007 Mr. Timuri was assigned as counselor to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Commonwealth of Australia. Mr. Timuri has got three publications in Politics, social affairs and Poetries. Mr. Timuri fluently speaks English, Dari and Pashto. He is married and has four children.

FIRST SECRETARY

 

Mirwais Samadi

Mr. Samadi was appointed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan in April 2000. He served as Desk Officer for the United States at the Fifth Political Department.
In November 2006 Mr. Samadi was designated as a Second Secretary at the Afghan Embassy in Canberra – Australia. After Three months he has promoted to the rank of first secretary of the Embassy
 
Mr. Samadi graduated from Kabul University, Faculty of Law and Political Science. He has attended training courses on Diplomacy and International Relations in    India, German Federal Republic and Pakistan.
 
Mr. Samadi has been writing several articles and analyses about the U.S. Politics, Foreign and Defence Policy. He has also participated in numerous forums, seminars and conferences.  Mr. Samadi has fluency in Dari, Pashto, English and Urdu/Hindi languages.

SECOND SECRETARY

Mohammad Seyam Sediqyar

Mr. Sediqyar has served as the Third Secretary at the Embassy of Afghanistan since June 2005. After two years he has promoted to the rank of second secretary of the Embassy Previously, he has worked as a Desk Officer at the United Nations and International Conferences Department and prior to that he has worked for the Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Afghanistan.

Mr. Sediqyar holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Political Science from Kabul University. He has also attended diplomatic courses in Turkey and China. Mr Sediqyar is fluentn Dari, Pashto and English

THIRD SECRETARY

Ahmad Baheer WARDAK

Mr. Ahmad Baheer Wardak was born in Kabul – Afghanistan. He joined Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan in March 2002, and he served in the Protocol Department. 

 

Mr. Baheer has attended Faculty of Law and Political Science of Kabul University from 2003 - 2007, and has also participated  two months diplomatic training in Germany as well as one month multi-dimensional diplomacy training in Geneva.

 

Mr. Baheer has worked with Non Governmental Organizations and International Organizations from 1999 – 2001. He has worked with Norwegian Afghanistan Committee/NAC, Save the Children/UK, AREA

 

In August 2007 Mr. Baheer was appointed as Third Secretary to The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

 

 

Mr. Baheer has assisted in organizing officials visits of Afghan delegations and he was part of the official delegation to (France, Austria, Spain, Germany, UK, USA, Canada, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, China, India, and Italy)

 

 

Mr. Baheer is fluent in Dari, Pashto, English and Urdu/Hindi languages

ADMIN ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST

Fariha Fahiz

Ms. Fariha Fahiz works as receptionist at the embassy of Afghanistan in Canberra since January 2006. She manages the front desk for the embassy and assists the administration as an assistant.

Ms. Fahiz has obtained a diploma of Business Administration from Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) and prior to that she worked at the Central Polyclinic in Kabul – Afghanistan.

Ms. Fahiz is fluent in Dari and English.
